I Building up supplies to build my first diorama. Its going to be a modern one taking place in baghdad. What i was wondering was, does anyone know of a car model that I can get in 1/35 scale? I'd like to add a burnt/ blown up car to my diorama. Does anyone have any suggestion?
Thanks, Jay

What's your spending limit Jay?
Mig Productions has some nice resin Technicals.
If not, I think Revell had or has some 1/32 snap car kits.

You can always use a beetle. They're everywhere in the world. Italeri makes one, a german ww2 one but i think it would look fine.

Revell, Monogram, Arii, and a few others do 1/32 snap-tite civilian vehicle models. They can be made to look great, with a little scratch-building and a little work. There are also some 1/32 diecast cars that would work. Tamiya has some 1/32 trucks in their mini 4-wheel drive series as well, but these are just bodies with no frame or interior. I used a Tamiya Mini 4-wheel drive Toyota Land Cruiser body and mated it with a Land Rover frame and scratched an interior to make mine below. I have used many other 1/32 civilian vehicles in dioramas as well. Check my galleries below to see some of them. Other than Mig's technicals, there are no 1/35 civilian vehicle models out there.

Ahhh...1/35 Civilian vehicles. A really big gap in the market (my opinion) .
There is/was a German company that had some 1/35 VW Golf kits- I think they were vacuformed, maybe resin. I had a link (somewhere) and I'll try and dig it out.
I started to convert a F150 to a Twilight 2000 technical some time ago. It is a big project. As Gino said, no interior, chassis, etc. And to further complicate it I cut it by about 10% in all dimensions to go from 1/32 to 1/35. Even using 1/32, the number of available vehicles is really limited.
Since most 21st Century combat takes place in urban settings and is often "low-level conflict" it seems to me that there is some market for these kits.
I'll look for that link...
