Has anyone ordered from these guys, I mean their prices seem to be awesome. Or is there a catch?

No catch - they are really good. Of course remember that they are in Hong Kong, so shipping costs may increase the total order cost significantly.

Only one catch... be prepared to receive excellent service! :-)

Seriously... they are great. They are also one of the few retailers that actually monitor the site, in fact, you can probably expect Ray to comment on this post. :-)

Their postage isn't too bad... I paid USD 16 for air mail to SA on my USD 54 purchase from them (the surface mail option was USD 11)... I've paid waaay more on postage from Spain on purchases of a lower value...

Go on... be a devil... make a purchase from LuckyModel!

Chip, you will find it compensates (even paying the postage) very fast and secure service, they really do take the customers seriously. Also, and this is another big plus, if you e-mal them, they usually respond within 10 minutes (no kidding!) yesterday I mailed about the availability of the Trumpeter KVs and got an immediate reply...Jim

I am looking at a Reserce F4U Corsair for like 12 bucks. Thats a good deal considering its a Hasegawa kit.

But then again do I need another kit laying around.....YES!

I just came back from looking at that website. and i gotta tell you the prices are'nt that much different. I'm currently rebuilding my kitchen. When I'm done I will have completly rebuilt my house from the ground up. And I mean EVERYTHING! As my reward to myself, I plan on spending all my change and empty bottles I have collected over the last year and a half on 2 dioramas I plan on building. I plan on spending about $250 on all the models and supplies (they are going to be quite big). So, I have been compiling a list of the models I'm planning on using and the cheapest place I can find them. I went to that website and added up 4 models there and then at Ehobbies. I don't plan on just using Ehobbies, but for this I just added it up there for time sake. And, luckymodel was $4 more with the 7-11 day shipping option. The cheaper option would have been 6-12 weeks which would save me about $30, but who really wants to wait that long? Just thought I might write and let you know that.

Yep! EHobbies have nearly 50 armour kits! 30 of them are Tamiya as well!

Er......If you have a couple of hours to spare you might like to try and count all the Armour from DIFFERENT manufacturers that Lucky Model offer, then there are all the aftermarket bits and pieces. Oh come on, you can't seriously compare Ehobbies with Luckymodel. Pleeeze! :-) :-) :-)

EHobbies don't exactly have the best reputation in the business either... Are you sure that they have as many as 50 kits?...Jim

I was just giving E-hobbies as an example. I have bought many models from them though and never had a problem and was happy with the service. If it is just a matter of price with shipping I've also found that Best1hobby.com has a better price. I shop around alot for my models. I don't have much cash to sprare. Not to metion they have a excellent selection.
