I use window screen and I think it works great. Easy to glue, and very easy to cut. I used it on my M1A1 model and it was way better than the sceen that was supplied.

I use the mesh bags that our garlic comes in here in Fla. It works great and seems to be the proper scale (1/35).

Check outthe cooking area of your local 99 Cent Store or thrift store. I find many different forms of mesh there... one example...

Window screen seems to work well, although cheap strainer mesh looks good.

shops that carry metal for fabrication uselly have some choices in mesh sheets..

Nylon panty hose can be stretched for very fine mesh.
From 1/35 helmet netting to....?
Most paints and solvents are compatible.Acetone might be a no-no.Test before live-fire!
