I can't believe it but Hobby Lobby is having their models on 1/2 off again already. http://www.hobbylobby.com/site3/weekly/specials/specials.cfm

All right you guys in Colorado Springs, I'd really like one of the DML Fireflies. I plan on being there when they open Monday. If you beat me in the door can you save one for me?

I was out yesterday stocking up on some paint, eyeing the Firelfy myself. I am on vacation this week and plan to be there early Monday as well.
Hopefully they are having this sale to make room for more new DML kits, late version 3-in-1 Tiger, 88, etc.

Still, getting a 3-in-1 early Tiger and a Firefly for $32 bucks ain't a bad deal at all.

Rodger, While you are there, if you happen to find one of the new 88's would you please grab one for me? Not sure what time I have to work tomorrow, so you might be ok... heh heh. Is there anything else you are after? I'll keep my eyes open as well. Thanks. "Q"

Thank goodness I'm not in Colorado Springs, because I want to pick up one of the Firefly's too!

At least my Hobby Lobby had three in stock last week when I was there. Hopefully they won't be sold out by the time I can get there after work tomorrow.

That's a bummer. The Hobby Lobby close to me doesn't carry the DML line!

Reply to all:

Max, they had a 251 D, I think, yesterday when I was out there. How early do you get up? I'll race you out there. I don't need it so I will hide it for you. (Max and I live in the same town) And no, no Tiger (P).

Byran, They had one Firefly out there yesterday. If it is still there when I get there there I'm snagging it. It's yours at my cost.

Jeff, Max and I live in the back waters of Indiana, Marion. It really sucks that your local doesn't carry the DML kits.

I'm not doing too great financially, bbut, with all the stuff that Hob Lob is starting to carry now, It's worth an early AM trek out there to see if they might have something I need. Who knows, they may goof and have an early version T34 or (gulp) even a North Carolina

The funny thing is I was just in HL on Saturday night right before they closed and said to my wife that they had a nice selection of DML stuff now and I can't wait for the half off sale. Well, didn't have to wait long. lol I'll be heading there at 9 this morning and I know they had a Firefly there, I'll pick up all that I can and will see if there's anything extra I get that someone else wants.

Well I got the Firefly, and also the T34/76 early. I was the first modeler in the door, but two others from our local club were there before I left. We're such addicts.

I was really tempted to get an Early Tiger for trading purposes, but I wanted to give others a chance to buy it to actually build. If they still have any left by Saturday I might still get one.

EDIT Oops, not the T34 Early but the T34 1941. Still it's my first Soviet armor.

Picked up the DML King Tiger at one store and scored the new Monogram release of the F-18E at another store. The Hornet is looking very nice and for $10 I'm glad I didnt pass on it. Recessed panel lines, extensive wheel well detailing etc. More stuff to add to the "To Do" pile once we get moved. "Q"

They didn't have that T-34 kit here, but lots of everything else Dragon. They also were carrying the Trumpeter Liberty ship and the gigantic Revell U-boot. Have everything I needed so only gat a modern accessory kit to go with my Hummveesfor $4.85 with tax. But, they are increasing their ship and Armor section so maybe next time something will show up. They seem to be having these sales at 6 week intervals, so look a week or two before Labor Day.for ads.

Picked up the Initial Production 3 in1 Tiger today. Just under $18. Gotta like that. There are a ton of parts in this monster in plastic, metal and PE. Not sure about the new soft Dragon Styrene figgies though. I only stopped in 1 of 4 Hobby Lobby stores around here and they had one of each of the typical Dragon kits that have been spotted on the shelf lately (Firefly, King Tiger, T-34 etc....) Same Tamiya kits that are always around. Happy Hunting!
