Hey I found an old M1 in my friends barn. I heard ww2 M1's were taller than post ww2. Does anyone know how tall the ww2 m1s were? Thanks ahead of time

I have the Nam era and a WW2 I cant tell much difference in size sombody here should have the ansewer your looking for. Is it just the steel pot or does it have the liner. If it has a liner you could probaly tell what era it is from.

Does it have fixed chinstrap bales?
Does it have a stainless steel rim with the seam at the front? If so Then yes, it is a ww2 helmet, if no, then you probably have a post war hjelmet.
