Quick pass through on Friday 1100 to 1200 showed very few female figures. I'll be back all Saturday and Sunday until the official close.
That said, at 1115 on Friday, there was barely any space left on the dispaly table. Toke's Simpathy for the Devils was on display and Easyoff's travel partner was walking in as I was heading back to the garage/car park.
Overall impression was one of some stupendous work!

My battery ran out Saturday afternoon with 250 pictures on the memory stick. Phantom Major, there were a goodly number of females and you'll get an email shortly.
In addition to mine own self, I saw Johnnyboy and of course my good buddies "Easyoff" (John Bolilard) and "Tango Charlie"(Talal Chouman) and got to spend some time with "Toke" whose Red Devils box dio is even more impressive in person. EasyOff , Tango Charlie, Toke and I all enterred and came away with certificate or medals, with Talal taking gold in ordnance for his superb scratchbuilt 120 mm LAV-25 and T-55. Theloook on his face reminded me of a kid seeing his first bigass Christmas display!
The depth and breadth of figure models was outstanding, mind numbing, beyond suprelatives!
I have not had chance to review my pictures yet, let alone clean them up, but as soon as I can, I will post at least some highlights and send a CD to the powers that be for a full posting.
When I registered on Friday, my numbers neared a thousand. Saturday's registrations may have had a different series of numbers since they had a different colored cards. There may have been as many as 3000 models/displays and since a number of entrants set up the entire display, consisting of numerous individual figures, there is no way of telling how nay models were actually on display.
One of my heroes/inspirations, Christian Petit of France was elevated to Grand Master. The award seemed to come as a genuine surprise and honor!
Though the numbers and venue were smalller, the overall quality of models far outdistances eithe IPMS National I've been to.

What a party! OMG, that was one of the best times that I ever had in my life! I could barely walk when I got home I was so sore. Everyone was so kind, so informative, even the big guys like Bill Horan, Christian Petit, Shep Paine and the list is endless sorry if I didn't mention your name, spent quality time with you if you caught them at the right time. I'm a pretty forward and friendly guy and I didn't meet one person there (that spoke english well enough) that didn't want to talk to you and just make it a stupendous day. The seminars where great, I had a blast at each of them.

My hats off to the men and woman that put this thing together.
