i tink academy and dragon ok...dragon and tamiya, a no go for me...
tamiya's detail sucks big time...i donno abt their new spruce now but the old ones really cannot make it la...

For me Dragon figs can combine with the new generation Tamiya figs....The older ones cannot make it...A bit not proportionate, head too big, too fat, and the clothing details not good (I mean the creases & wrinkles not realistic). Still think that Academy figs too big...

U know, some Tamiya figures r built in the 70s..These are the older ones...The newer ones, such as the German Assault Infantry (in my frostbite dio), German Frontline Infantryman,German Tank crew at rest..to name a few are much improved and comparable to DML's figs..

Verlindens are die-cast? I didn't know that...But they have more varieties of poses, which are perfect for dioramas....

well, thats what i read in 'The Verlinden Way' book...this book i read in particular has a special on figure painting...

Danial the address you gave me in under construction. I am playing VietCong now got some ideas on my NAM figures. I am thinking of US Special Forces LRDG or maybe some NVAs too
