I'm interested in the AMX-13 kit too.

From pictures of the finished model, the tracks look horrible but what choice do we have? Heller is the only brand producing the AMX-13.

Keep me updated too on the AMX-13, maybe we can make a convoy of it with running numbers.

At that price, i think we are better off with a real main battle tank
MBT likes Abrams, Merkava...etc
But unless all of us are buying and can get at a good price...

yup, 39 bucks is really too much lah!

A new DML offering with all the goodies is cheaper and much much better than that crap kit!

Heller kits are basically craps. Until now I've not bought their VAB kits although I very much like to. The amx-13 is no different, so are their amx-30, lecrlec. But with aftermarket details, it's still possible to make a decent model out of it.
It is not possible to make a Singapore SM-1 out from the heller amx-13 kit. Sm-1 has been modified and the hull length is longer, and getting the markings is almost impossible unless you make them yourself.

Cheers

Like what all said.. It's going to be difficult to do one. (the number of members, kits at hand, kits to get).. difficult. But worth a try if we can.

Talking about tanks and aircrafts, I've got an idea of making a dio with a shot down plane being inspected by a scout car or something.

Scout car scale : 1/35.
Aircraft scale: ???

What scale would be best for the aircraft for this dio? I don't seem to see any aircraft at scale 1/35. The closest i get is 1/32.

FYI.. Dio in WW2 era.

Only helicopters are made at 1/35. maybe you can make a black hawk down
