Now, would all of YOU agree that a model kit for a resin figure is a fair trade? My SWMBO just doesn't seem to think so.
I understand it's a good trade.
The guy I traded with knows it's a good trade.
I'm sure everyone here understands ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Yet, she still gave me that look, like " You're trading that WHOLE helicopter kit for a little figure?"

Humph, girls.

Yet, when she wants that 50 year old Polaroid camera that you can't even get film for anymore, to just sit on the shelf, I understand.

What scale and manufacturer are we talkin here? I'm sure it was a good deal but I'm just curious.

Sometimes I just don't know where your head is at young man! :-)8

Mary, thank you! I KNEW you would understand.
And I'd like to exempt you and all of you Armorama girls from any implications. You girls have insights that the Lady McMurphy does not.

The deal was a 1/35 scale resin female Helo pilot for a 1/35th scale AH1W Super Cobra (MRC) that I would never build. It was sitting in the stash since the 1900's and would probably stay there till the 2100's.

SWMBO will never build it, so I don't know how it is any skin off of her nose. I'm getting what I need for something I don't need.

Honestly, it's just good to know that she ISN'T perfect, like I was afraid of.

Has anybody else had problems justifying with their significant others? (Probably a silly question)

Hmmmm.

My wife uses my plastic fetish as leverage against me.

Just tonight, she talked me into driving into KC to pick up some contacts for our daughter. Ended up in Hobby Lobby with her suggesting purchases ... then to WalMart where I proceeded to spend at least three times more $$ on stuff for her. One thing I did accomplish -- they had Campbell-Hausfeld compressor & tank combos on sale for Fathers Day. I might get the 1 gallon model for Fathers Day ($49). Good for the airbrushing! plus some light household duties. Of course, I'll have to give her the $$ to buy it ... heaven knows she can't dip into her money!
