Just a note to all the WW2 modelers...and for that matter all of our friends in Europe...Happy Anniversary to all DDay survivors...which ever side you were on...it don't matter now. Just glad it's behind us and most everything turned out ok.

:-) ... was wondering when someone was going to post something about D-Day.... 61 years ago today.

Thought I was going to have to do it, before I left for work.

It seems to me anymore you have to be a bit careful about over or under estimating any one countries' contribution during the Second World War. Hind sight has become 20-20, so to speak. That said, while I won't diminish the effort made by every other nation in the conflict, hopping off of that POS Higgins boat with all of those MG42 barkin' took some serious guts.

Thank God for 'em.

I placed a small sign on the desk at the library stating that today was the 61st anniversary of what significant event of WWII history?.............One person got it right.

How utterly depressing.

Tell me about it! I'm amazed at how uninformed the average person is about history.
