Yesterday's ASMS show in Austin Texas, seemed to be dominated by one of Armorama's very own. I was able to meet Pete, nice guy by the way, and also see his work up close. Awe inspiring. I do believe every category he entered he placed first and also was awarded best of in dioramas. I think he needed a wheel barrow to cart all of his trophies away in. Congratulations Pete and nice meeting you.
Regards,
Robert

Hey Bob,
Austin AMPS is having a show in October, be a good time to come down, some great vendors are already lined up, Formations, Archer, Tiger Model, and CRM (great hobby store from St. Louis who have almost anything you are looking for) plus others.
Regards,
Robert

Hmmm. could be a problem. Our KC AMPS Regional is Oct. 15. Normally CRM is there, and Rob from Formations had made it a few times.
What is the date of the Austin show? Doubt I can make two shows in one month, but one never knows ... maybe us riff-raff from KC can make a roadtrip.

October 28-29th, if you need a ride from the airport or hotels, or anything in general, if you decide to come, let me know. I would be happy to help you or the other riff raff out.
Regards,
Robert
Ain't CRM great, I visited them a few years back when I was in St' Louis, I can't remember the owners name but he knew where everyting was. Not a small feat in that store.

Thanks, Robert!
Chris is the guy from CRM -- always easy to spot at shows in his loud Hawaiian shirts.
I probably buy 90% of my model stuff from Chris of CRM and Gordon Kwan of Sprue Brothers. The rest I get through swap meets, trades and other vendors at shows (plus the occasional 50%-off Hobby Lobby sales).
Back to original topic -- Way to go, Pete! :-)

Thanks Robert for the aknowledgement. It was great to meet you to.
It was my first time to enter in the show. I usually enter in the show in Arlington, Tx in August, but since i moved back to San Antonio, I wanted to go to some of the more local shows.
Not only did I walk out with 8 awards, I also walked out with a load of stuff from the vendors.
Now to start working on stuff for SUPERCON.
