Mornin' All,
Just had a look at the Accurate Armour site which is now taking pre-orders for westlands finest, just a couple of queries though..the pre-production model has the old (1st Gulf War) straight rotor blades, are there any plans to provide the (now standard and have been since the mid 90s) composite main rotor blades for this baby? Also the ALQ IRCM unit would be nice, as would armoured crew seats and I get the impression the TOW sight is the older model too but cant get a clear look from the pics.
I know that these releases are a representation of the Gulf era machines but I've been waiting for these with baited breath, would be nice to know that a modern version was coming or update parts were going to be available..
Bit of a moan folks, but I've a soft spot for these suckers and would really love to see it done justice, if I knew that a current machine was on the way as a model or conversion they would get my cash but for the moment..

I'm off to stand in a corner and stamp my foot

Hi Martin

AA are heading airborne?! Nice one! As an ex-Westland employee (many years ago), I fully sympathise with your moan, but the very fact that they're looking above ground level is extremely encouraging to a propeller head like me!

This has got to be good news...
