Ok, I paid my five bucks, got it home opened the box and realized that the software is on a mini disc. I know I know, I should have known by the size of the box... A case of idiotism to be sure.

So, now what? Who has this program and how did you load it onto your computer?

Hey steve...

On your computers cd tray there should be a smaller kinda depression to allow minidisks to play.. try that. I've never seen a modern computer that couldn't play a minidisc... Except for an iMac... *shudders*

Anyways...

Don't worry, went through the same process when I picked it up a while back at the local Walmart.
Not a bad little program though.

I was thinking about getting this myself. Is it versatile? Can it be used to make bumper numbers and German style vehicle ID numbers, or is it more suitable for auto modelers?

Rich I used it on a Helo I built for a Vietnam Huey C Pilot. I needed to make his unit markings for the nose. The program worked well for that. As to turret numbers or bumper numbers for German trucks, it would work I would recomend printing it out on plain paper first for sizing. I did this with the nose art so I didn't waste the decal paper.

I picked it up in Walmart where they keep their few models....think it was a little over a year ago though.
I think there might of have been an available upgrade to it for like $15 to give it more versatility, but I'll have to check. I took a 'vacation' from modeling for quite a few months, so I don't remember off hand.
I used it once to make a german flag.....came out real nice though.
I printed on plain white paper to check sizing and then used the supplied decal paper.
Pretty sure you can make bumper numbers off of it.
