Can anyone recommend the Aztek 470 airbrush?

I've got the 4709, the one that comes in a wood box. It's the first one I ever had. I really like the ease in switching tips, cleaning, and use. I know there's a lot of ill will out there concerning the Aztek. Some people just hate it. For me, I've used mine for two years now, and I've had no mechanical problems (see my paint issue with "splatter" in painting issues...I think it's me, not the brush). Lots of people with more experience will tell you about better brushes - an artist I am not. I just want quick, easy, and something that looks good. For me - Aztek fits the bill. And, hey, it comes with a lifetime guarantee. If nothing else, you can make sure you get your money's worth by having Testors keep sending you replacements .

I've had mine for about 18 months and it does the job for me. I've read some negative stuff, but if you wear out a nozzel you can replace it for $10.00. Also, it is the easiest to clean of the 3 I've used. HTH

Another vote for the aztec.
Try a search for it, and you'll find everything you'll need as far as info, etc.

I have the Aztek brush and find it a good brush to work with. The only word of caution that I will give you is this: if you are planning on doing intricate camoflauge patterns or need small lines of paint, this is not the brush for you. It has a fine details nozzle, but in my experience it still isn't a very fine line.

Working at a hobby shop, I always recomend the 4709 to beginers. I have sold hundreds of them and never have I had someone come back and tell me they where not satisfied with it. I use it myself and have been for a few years. I also have a couple of Badger brushes to, but always fall back on the 4709. Like the others say, easy to clean and user friendly. Tips are cheap to replace too.

Here's another recommendation. For the reasons stated above.

I had one of those fancy Paashes before. Since last year, I use the Aztek 4709. Easy to use, easy to clean. Great tool !
