Well, i think clarinet is pretty cool..and it does have a great sound to it. I played in high school and with my grandfather all the time. When he passed he willed me and old brass clarinet that he use to play in a band back in his day..totally cool instrument..

Yeah all of that is true.... but I want something different.
I can all of my energy give on drums. ( if you know what I mean)
But I still play clarinet in a harmony.
But there comes also a lot of percussion to play.
Sorry for my bad englisch.......

I don't think I ever realized before that Anne and Mary were "twins". :-)
I use to play the Coronet. For about 5 months in 5th grade.

Hi Hilbert
As a guitarist who can get a "tune" out of a banjo, a bass, a ukulele, a piano and.. yes, even a saxophone, I have say I totally sympathise - the clarinet is the toughest son of a ..... I've ever failed to play!
And yes, it sounds wonderful! - but playing it?!... that is a technique I TRULY admire!
But take heart! Decent drummers are like gold-dust!
All the best

My daughter is in her first year of band (7th grade). She plays the drums. It is not very much fun to listen to her practice. It can become a true test of a parent's love...............
