On wednesday the 16th i'm heading to Atlanta for the day and plan on checking out a couple LHS's there to show a buddy of mine that i'm informing about the possibiliities of having one in Montgomery. Anyone know of any? not the national franchise type shoppes....i'm looking for literally a mom and pop type small home owned shop.

thanks in advance

Kevin,
The two best shops in town, AAA Hobby, (triple "A" to us locals) in Marietta, north of Atlanta, up I-75 about 10-15 miles or so from the "big city". Also The Warroom, again north of town just off I-85. Both are great shops. The Warroom is about to move so some things are in the process of being packed. If your around Wednesday night one of the local clubs meets at the Warroom around 7:00 or there about. Very informal, people bring stuff they are working on or have finished to show, and we hang out and shoot the breeze. Here are the numbers for both: The Warroom, 770-729-9588 (opens at 11:00 A.M.) AAA, 770-973-5666 (opens at 10:00 A.M. I think). If you go to AAA one or both of the owners, Rusty or James, will probably be there. They are both great guys and don't mind spending time talking to you.

HTH, and enjoy your trip.
Mike

edit: I forgot, if you have any more questions, post 'em here, or PM me. I'll be up another hour or so.

The only one I've been to is The War Room as mentioned above. Great shop. Good luck on your fact finding tour.
