For those of you that have a quaint image of Spain's beaches and scorching heat, these were taken this morning... Not perhaps as spectacular asother areas, but scenic nonetheless. Oh the temperature last was a tropical -8 Centigrade..Jim

Wow Jim. Really picturesque though

I've gotta admit I was, until now, one of those that thought Spain was sunny and warm 24/7/365...

Is this up north near the French border and the mountains? Sorry, can't remember the name of the range right now... getting old... :-) :-)

The profile is somewhat misleading....I'm a transplanted Canadian down in Texas.

And is that your pick-up truck?
Next week the gorgeous women will once again be sunning on the beaches.... They still have gorgeous women there Jim?, I know they did the last time I was there. Of course that was back in the days of real teeth, red hair, and 100 pounds lighter. :-) :-) :-)

The answer to that yarn is: It is cold enough to freeze the balls of a brass monkey.

It comes from the older era where they had the old canons. The Cannon balls were put on a brass ring (monkey) and they piled them up in a conical shape. When it froze the ring shrank and the Cannonballs would fall off. So there for the yarn

Sorry folks, that appears to be something of an urban legend. Nobody really knows where the phrase "cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey" came from.

Which hour of what day are you talking about? It can 42 degrees F in the morning, 12 degrees F at noon, and 27 degrees F in the evening! This is Indy! What do you expect? I heard it's supposed to be 50 degrees tommorrow! Come on! This is the stuff that makes you strong! Thanks for your time.
