I've noticed in a lot of the pictures on the site that many are using a workbench mat with a grid pattern and rulers stenciled on. I've checked out a few suppliers sites but can't seem to find them. Any suggestions?

Most are Nicole mats and they come in a few sizes. A search on line should get results. Do you have a Micheals or Treasure Island craft store near you? http://store.draftingsteals.net/catalog-cutting-mats--knifes----sissors-cutting-mats-cutting-mat-kits-with-tools.html

Staples, Office Depot, A.C. Moore's are three that come to mind, probably any art's and crafts store. Depending on size, they range from aound 10 bucks for a small one to about 50 for a super size.

Got two of them. Bought one at Walmart and one at Staples. Check out Walmart's crafts section. They have some good stuff there and cheap.

Dont forget Hobby Lobby!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, definately at WalMart. They are usually in the quilting section or where all the sewing stuff is at.

yea they do cost a bit, but the one I use is called a 'self-healing' matt and is good to cut stuff on such as foils or styreen sheets into shape.. gives a nice cutting surface that is better than the desktop....and its just nice to have on the desk to work on.....

Since I am metrically challenged, I wanted one with a metric ruler on it. I checked several places yesterday and today and all I could find were ones with the standard inch markings. So I just bought a metric ruler to use instead. Now at least I won't have to pull out the calculator and conversion tables when trying to determine how many inches = mm's.
