Do I win something besides the respect and admiration of my peers? :-) :-) :-)
Gino has since been promoted IIRC he is Major Gino P. Quintiliani now.

It's interesting that the change of command took place in BDU's and not class A's.

Didnt even have to look futher down in the threads for the answer.
But if I'm not mistaken, Gino (Im sorry, wheres my military bearing, MAJ Gino, Sir) was stationed at my old stopming ground at Ft. Benning, GA. with the 3rd Brigade of the 3rd ID. They must of had the change of command at Ft. Stewart. Once in a while, we had to drive across Georgia for change of commands.

Borabrams,
Where have you been, ever change of command that I have been in has been in BDU's. One or two of them was with full battle rattle.

Not as unusual as you would think. Most of the change of command ceremonies I've been involved in have been in BDUs, even at the Brigade level. It may be more common that way in the Reserve Component (it is sure a LOT easier that way!), but it seems to me that for about the last 15 years, the Army has taken on a more "business like" approach to many things like this kind of ceremony. In a "tactical" (TO&E) unit rather than an "administrative" or school (TDA) unit, the work uniform is much more likely to be worn, and usually with Kevlar and LBE.

Roger what Tom says. You won't see many "Class A" ceremonies for a while -- at least not big, public ones. Our last class at the Command and General Staff College graduated in battledress -- first time that has ever happened in the long history of CGSC. The word from above was that it was a reminder that we are at war -- the Global War on Terrorism.
