Was in a REAL hobby shop today, and before I knew it, I had a Sherman AND a Tiger in my hands walking towards the cash register.

Something snapped me out of this trance (thankfully) and the feeling passed. Bought an M36 instead.

That was a little too close for comfort

you don't KNOW the POWER of the Dark Side :-)

I caved in last night. I bought a DML Stug IV late (new tool), the DML Pak 40, AFV Club Sdkfz. 251, Shanghai Dragon Jagdpanzer IV L/70A Zwischenlossung (spell?) I did buy some DML U.S. figures though!

I'm glad I've still got some airplane and car kits around to build from my younger days. when I get burned out and strained, I grab one of those and build it OOB...cars are great, very uncomplicated and I can usually knock one out in a weekend. Other than that, there is no darkside...ships and tanks from anytime and anyplace are open for grabs..just gotta haave a scale with a 3 and a 5 in the beginning

I have not built a German vehicle of any kind in over 20 years. I just don't really care for them anymore.
I don't want to sound... well you know. I just like the colors of OD and besides, it's the winners side.

I must confess though, I have looked at Tamiya's Marder III several times. There's just something about it that I like. Quite different from their Tigers and Panthers. It just looks cool. Perhaps one day I'll cave and grab her. Build her in a winter scheme.

Phew that was close, Dave. :-)

I know how you feel, I've been building a shopping cart on a few of the internet model stores but fortunately (so far) as I have been about to click 'checkout' I have been woken from the reverie and my eyes have unglazed... it gets closer each time... and the shopping carts get bigger...

:-) :-) :-) :-)

I finally gave in and bought an Sdkfz 232. At least it's not a Tiger or Sherman.

Give in to the darkside .dont under- stand all this darkside malarky.ok i do a lot of panzer stuff but we all need a break now and then,so i will have a bash at a sherman or T34.does that mean i go to the lightside.i have a draw full of all colour paints not a draw full of olive drab.i rest my case.

I took a crack at a darkside Tiger I a while back and it has turned out to be one of my more interesting builds. I did several firsts on my Tiger including the use of Fruil metal tracks which enhance the kit greatly in my opinion. I would not be opposed to doing another sometime in the future (I'm actually eyeing the Dragon Jadgtiger) but I don't think I cross over to the darkside.

You will give in, Peacekeeper.......In 2005 many of you will cross to the darkside. Your journey will be easier if you start now !
You may have resisted the Dragon Initial Tiger, but the AFV Club Late Tiger will follow (very nice kit BTW), then the Dragon Late Tiger and then later this year the Early Prod Tiger !
You will succumb to the will and call of the darkside as I did!
Seek comfort in Panzer gray and Dunkelgelb!

it happened to me it will happen to you ...and I'm an aircraft builder who really likes Jagdpanthers best !
