Is anyone else noticing sites down or other Internet problems or is it just localized to my area or employer?
Thanks,
Jim

Well I don`t know if you are only talking about Armorama but I seem to have some problems with my MSN messenger. Checked everything in my own PC but I Can`t find the reason why I am not able to sign in
Oh well I think it will solve itself... AT least we are talking about Microsoft

We're having total MSN messenger melt down here, since early this morning. We live on messenger, so that's killing us. That's the only internet problem we've been having.

Rodger,
Is your banner from MSN Groups showing up for you? Cause MSN Groups is down for me. As is Drudge Report, AOL Mail, Yahoo images, and about 30 other sites.
Cheers,
Jim

I Start to wonder if the Microsoft services are hacked. When I look what the trouble with Messenger is I get linked to a site that definately is not Microsoft Service.

There is definately some odd stuff going on and it seems to be IP related. For example this IP resolves fine to www.armorama.com but other sites of mine which are on an IP address one-off from this one are not coming up. And they are all on the same server.
So my guess is we are seeing a world-wide DOS attack on DNS servers again.
Cheers,
Jim

Jim, are you getting the dreaded "this site cannot be displayed" when you try to go to those sites? Is your MSN home page background all white, instead of blue? That was happening to me a few weeks back. It was "a known issue" and took them several days to fix.
Are you able to function using just IE? That was the "fix" they gave me when it was messing up.

This may only be affecting people in one area of the country or even just my ISP, but TRUST ME, they are under some kind of Denial of Service attack aimed at knocking out DNS servers OR they are having a major hardware failure. It's not just MSN. I just tried for example www.ford.com and no go either.
Cannot find server or DNS Error

Ola
Well my problems seem to be over now.
Checked ford.com and it shows up for me perfectly. Also my Messenger seems to work again only me and Lestweforget are online from my list so that probably shows the rest of the world is still having problems.
Everything seems to work normally

The issue does seem to be localized to our ISP (Time Warner Telecom). They aren't aware of any problems but are going to take a look.

Is everyone that is having problems using IE?
Just wondering, because I recently switched to Firefox and have been rocking/rocketing to all sites I frequent.
When I use IE, sites seems to take a longer time to load that I remember before the switch.
Oh, and btw, Microsoft has released 8 new critical and important updates to both XP and IE. Get em!

After about 2 weeks of using Firefox, I will never go back to IE. This site loads up as fast as changing channels on the TV... well almost as fast.
Get it here: Firefox

I've been using FireFox and it's waaaayyyyyyy ahead of IE and has some really useful features for copying images ect internet was still abit sluggish using this though.
