I've made my bed here at Armorama and I'm going to l ie in it. I used to surf all kinds of other sites even joined a few but being computer nonsavy it was difficult to enjoy them. Alot of other sites only deal with one particular subject, only armor or aircraft etc. This site suits me just fine and is my only bookmark, I'm interested in all phases of modeling. For me It's the art a battleship or a starship if its well done It's beautiful. People take alot of time and effort to create their works and I really like looking at them, hell the worst thing that can happen is I might learn something. Besides if I'm cruiseing other sites I'm not modeling I'm surfing. This site is easy to surf easy to contribute to and the members are all very nice. AlI the information I need is right here, I don't visit other modelling sites. I google for information for each model I make, otherwise I check the "knowledge base" here, besides I have to have time to build models

I have (in addition to Armorama) TL, ML, ww2mm, & Planet Armor bookmarked. I used to have everyplace I had ever visited at least once bookmarked until my computer died in January. Now I use Tony Matteliano's Scale Model Index which the "links" portion of ML.

I mark pages on sites which hold some information which I can use for a specific model, but to be honest ( and not because I'm after something
) I don't really bother with other 'modeling sites'. This site seems to have the best layout, easiest interface, no restrictions on your gallery and best of all, the best bunch of people.
Cheers

Just the forum page on HyperScale's Tank Talk; Missing Links Discussion Groups page (I hit Modern & Braille and on rare occasions General and Private Sellers); Fine Scale Modelers Forums (only hit Armor, rarely Helicopters and Feedback).
Here, I enter from the main page, then to latest posts. I tend to only hit armor subjects that catch my eye and campaign builds I participate in. I will hit the Sci-fi board and Buy/Sell board since I moderate those. Once in a great while I will hit other model related threads in General, Aircraft, etc. if the subject title interests me.

I only use two general modelling sites on a daily basis, and Armorama gets about 90% of the time I'm on them. All the others in 'my favourites' are traders or information specific links relating to historical detail.

I have only bookmarked here. I may visit some others on rare occasions, but I like it here best. I can spend hours on here and I feel here is where my time is best spent.

I really don't visit other modeling sites, and when I do stray, it's a result of a link or recommended site from someone here at the big "A."

I tend to use the links from PMMS. First port of call is usually DML's website - yes I know it's obsessive but they do update VERY regularly, then I have a look at ML, Track-Link and PlanetArmor. The latter links me into PlanetFigure. Bit boring my routine actually...Jim

I pretty much like Henk, on using other sites for material on certain models, or Darryl, I get lead to another site by somebody here through a link, other wise I stay pretty much here.

Well I must admit that Armorama changed a "bit" my usual web routine!
I used to surf around on manufacturers websites, smml.online.com and on "internet modeler" and our own modeling club website www.ama.online.pt, beeing the surf made in "passive mode".
And this was my modus operandi in my first days at the Big A... Until I started to participate in the foruns (fortunatly I still have the time to it - and I missed it when I can't) and found a lot of good friends!!
in Armorama I'll enter by the Warship Homepage + Latest Posts (warships posts and campaigns) and then see if there's any thing I can help on the other members questions/comments/cryes for help
The articles and reviews are seen (usualy) in the day that they are posted online.
The articles I usualy read them all (they are fun, and you learn always something) and the reviews I read the ones that are in my area of interest (ships)!
The communication and information that is passed around is impressive and this continuos motion gives me motivation to help more and more, to participate more - although I tend to restrict myself on help given in my area (warships) but helping and giving advice on other areas - sometimes the one that make "the stupid question" is right and no one is seeing the obvious!!
Now I can say I am on "Active Mode", heavily commited to this wonderful community and pround of beeing part of it!
Although I still browse on some manufacturers websites now and then!!!

The Big at the top of my list, and it is my favorite site by far. HyperScale, ML and the FSM Forums also get my attention. I will bookmark any site I think I might want to return to, and periodly I will go through the bookmarks and prune the lists if I can't remember why I bookmarked, or if the link goes dead, or if the content was changed significantly in two or more visits. Come to think of it, I also have Armorama as a link on the MSN page I use to check stocks, weather, and news. If I get to a site via a link from another forum, etc., I will try to get to the home page before bookmarking, thereby having a reasonably good idea of everything the site offers.

I book mark quite a few sites, and belong to a few other than the big A, usually the first site I hit is Total Model, then over to Armorama, then to the FSM forums...then once in a while I'll check out ww2mm. So many sites out there, it's hard to limit yourself to just a handfull, otherwise nothing would get built! :-)

Currently the only sites I have bookmarked are to do with WW2 French tanks (not entirely sure why).
For sites I visit repeatedly, I go in from the previous day's/week's history. As that's only here, ML, PMMS and Landships it's not too difficult.

I've got 2 toolbar buttons, one for here and one for DD, which I only check every few days for any interesting postings. I've checked out other sites but couldn't find anything like here so I quit looking.
