Well this is a little off topic but i thought you guys could help me cool down a little. I placed an order with Internet Hobbies I got my UPS tracking number and it was to be delivered today. Well when I got home and had not received it I checked the tracking info and it had been delivered and signed by Casey in a another town 35 miles away . Well I hope he or she is not messing with my models. Has this ever happened to any of you.
Sorry for the ranting.

there are same addresses in neighborhoods right next to me as mine, so i can see how that would possibly get mixed up. Say you like 1234 N. Blanklane, there is a 1234 N. Buffperson lane. So I can see how it could possibly get mixed up. What I would do, is go to the post office and file a complaint.Good luck getting your models!

Contact your local UPS office, they can most likely remedy the situation in a matter of days.

Hummm... must be the alignment of the planets...

Last week UPS properly delivered (no, I do not work for them but, they do fly the B752.) a huge box of models from a well known on-line shop that I did not order (honestly Sweetheart).

A quick trip to the UPS Store took care of the problem.

I know this is off topic but same problem.

When I ordered some airsoft guns they sent to a wrong address and someone with same name though. So I can understand but UPS is very good about that stuff.

:-) :-) BUT MAKE SURE YOU SPEAK TO A MANAGER Though :-) :-) because the reglar people can not help only a little but you might be able to do a refund on your shipping. If you speak to a manager.

But hope your still Happy Modeling

Well it will be in the morning before I can find out anything. A refund would be great but some of the models may be hard to find some were out of production. I think i have calmed down enough now to go to sleep.

Back in the 70's I used to have a bar out in Limon Colorado, so I was going to one of them college towns to see my girlfriend over the weekend to surprise her.

Well I had her address and everything, but I wasn't aware they didn't know very many names, when they built that town. When they get a name, they ran it in the ground, they would have a street, avenue,Blvd, lane pass, all after the same name.

I told them couldn't they think of any other names, cause all these streets, avenue, lanes were no where close to each other either, so I had to go all over trying to find which one it was.

Not only that they only had a few names, but each one was the same way, it wouldn't surprise me a bit, if they get mail lost all the time out there, with a set up like that.

Like here it is Avenue, but I can't even get the post office to get it right, they always put road, when they write down my address. Then everybody I tell, I say avenue, then they repeat back road, within a few seconds.

Everything is set up for road, and that is it.

Answer is simple! Just tell the manager that the Item has not reached YOUR address and tell them to fix it!! If the UPS guy is 35 miles off and Can't get A) the right address B) the Right Signature and C) only within 35 miles of you. Then MAYBE, UPS needs to tighten up thier Employment standards.

Fedex did the same to me Execept it was tracked ALL the way to my Fron Door AND THEN!!!!!! the package disappeared of the truck??? No one called me to tell me this and everyone I called was SO VERY SORRY SIR, I called the CEO and chewed him a new one.

I had that occur once and a phone call remedied it. I had ordered some books and supplies and the company just resent the order. 3 months later the original turned up. I gave the books away and kept the supplies (total worth was about 25 bucks )

This happens to my wife all the time. Luckily each time the packeges are delivered to our neighbor across the street. My wife and her have the same first name. Still, it kills me that the UPS drivers (the same guy we have had to about a year) to this day make the same dumb mistake.

I've never lost a delivery to another person, but both UPS and Canada Post have just left items on my doorstep- once with a $250 order in it. I'm in a residential neighborhood, so any solicitor or flyer delivery kid could pick this up. I'm tempted to call them one day and tell them that it was stolen and they owe me a whack of money! Then I'd feel bad, though, and would have to bury my head in my models for a while.
