Hi All,
I am about to buy an Aztek airbrush set and inquired about it at my local hobby store.
The owner there said that if I want to use it for Tamyia acrylics, I should use a rather big bore spray nozzle, because the pigment in Tamyia acrylics are relatively big and will clog up the nozzle.
Is this true? And if so, does that mean that I can't do a thin/narrow spray pattern but only big surfaces?
Hope to hear from you and thanks in advance!

I've got an Azteck and I use it with any paint : Tamiya, Humbrol, Prince August, Gunze ... and with all nozzles !
So don't worry about it ! anyway you need to thin a little bit your paint before using !

Same here. Same aztek, same nozzles, same paint. No problems. Buy with confidence!

Thank you guys..!
I was sceptical about the store owners statements.
I'll just go ahead then and buy a nice Aztek set and don't worry about that extra $10 large nozzle then.
Thanks!

i have the aztek 430 i believe, its a great airbrush. i dont use the acrylic nozels for my acrylic paint. they did not work that well for me, i jsut have to remember that when im using it. i have to use a Q-tip every once and a while and clean off the build up.

I have 2 Azteks and I use acrylics 90% of the time.. Tamiya acrylics actually flow better than any other paint I have used.. The modelmaster acrylics is what I have a problem with clogging.. I also use the "fine" tip with no problems..
