Lord Pork
Depending on work issues--- a distinct possibility. We might get Jrnelson interested in this one also.

I'm planning on being there Saturday ... look for a Twins hat. It's probably me.
Plan on posting photos of the show as well.

That was a pretty cool show. The first "serious" one I have ever been to. (The first one being a local Hobbytown USA contest). Just went as a spectator, and was kind of glad that I did, because there were quite a few builds there that were pretty humbling! Hopefully, I'll have a few things to compete with next year.

Thanks for the welcome PorkChop.
I'm a Wisconsin native who has recently returned to the hobby after 5 years Marine Corps active duty. Now that I'm back home and have a little more space and time, the model bug has bit. I've got 6 or 7 new kits in the box ready to build, and I think I will also be refurbishing some of the builds from my high school days that just aren't up to my standards anymore. Safe to say, I have a full plate ahead of me, and I enjoy attending these local shows to get ideas and inspiration.
As far as the Madison competition goes, would you have a line on the builder of the CH-46E that was at the show? I have to find out how he did the glass panels on his ALQ's, lol.
Thanks again.

Beauty, brains, and a sense of humor.
Aren't our ladies lucky! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
Seriously though, it was a fun show and a good time. It's always nice when you can meet those you've talked to online for so long.
AH1W, glad you enjoyed the show. Sorry we didn't know you were going to be there. Would have been nice to meet you as well.
Welcome to the site. I look forward to seeing some of your work.

Unfortunately I have no idea who the builder was. Great build though. You can always throw up a request in the aircraft forum with a good chance of getting what you need!
Sounds like you are well on your way to a successful stint back in the hobby (seven kits lined up). It always fun to dream of that next project!
Other shows of note (that I know of) around the area include the MMSI figure show in Chicago in Oct.; Nordicon in Minneapolis in Sept; and one up in Wausau also in October.
If you know of more, please keep us posted!

It was good to see you again Pork Chop. Don't forget about our show in February. I will send you some flyers when they are finished. Did you win anything this year?

Please do that. Let us know when the details are firmed up.
We brought some hardware home (John17 did well with his figgies), but even without that it was a great day.

Hello there AH1Wsnake! Word through the grape vine brought my attention to your posting here. Your answer regarding the ALQ emitters is as simple as confetti and good photo references to from books. I'm a former Marine (4yrs active) who has enjoyed this hobby for about 19 yrs. Where about Wisconsin are you from? This hobby rocks and it's good to see more people get into it. Feel free to post anymore questions regarding modelling techniques to me or contact me directly via E-mail. I don't normally frequent this site though. Never knew it existed quite frankly. Nice place though.
