Howdy All,

One of the perils of doing research, and reading historic accounts, is learning about all the different vehicles, and all the different types of equipment that was employed during the war.
My apologies if this topic has been breached before, but my question(s) is this;
What kind of AM item would you like to see made that hasn't been manufactured yet?
And, what price range would you feel is appropriate for said item?

Tread.

BTW, Any additional input, i.e., full conversion kits you'd like to see, better QC for already available items, etc, would also be appreciated!

I might be gallumpfing around on my horse again, but I'ld like to see Verlinden come out with a mod kit to upgrade the Hasegawa Hornets to Lot 15/16/17. $25 to $50 dollars, maybe a bit more for new noses, radar, and avionics bays to go with their current detail packs. Maybe toss in some new updated ordinance---SLAMMER, GATOR, and GPS guided munitions.

As a German Armor builder, honestly I don't think we are lacking in this aspect, I think anything we want there is a kit out there, and tons of AM stuff as well. But I for one like to see some more detail interior part for the open top AFVs such as Hummel, Nashorn, etc.

Price at USD 20 to 50 is fine.

Without a doubt, it has to be a complete work-up for the 1/48 Italeri F-18E/F Soper Hornet.
Cockpit,avionics bays,engine intakes,afterburner cans,radar,"living wing", etc,etc.....
You folks know.....EVERYTHING!!!!!!

I think there are a few AM things I'd like to see

1- weapon sets, not like the DML where you get all those test pieces but totally usable like a set of IDF weapons. I'd include Uzis with and w/o wooden stock, heavy barrel FNs,MAgs, .30 cal, PErferated barrel .50 cal. ANd a few BESAs with tripod. eTc.

2-a track set for the M110,107,578 series vehicle

3- a gorden/trailblazer conv for the sherman(Israeli)

4-175mm ammo for M107

5-Hawk SAM on m548 chassis

That would cover my wants for a while(did I ask for toooooooo much)

Let's see, we Sherman guys don't have all that we would wish. How about:

A correct direct-vision M4A2 hull in plastic.
An M4 DD conversion in plastic.
Properly scaled VVSS suspension sets in plastic, complete with options for flat or upswept return roller arms or the early version with the roller atop the bogie unit itself. Think the Academy sprues with some extras and you're getting there. While we're at it, do the same with the HVSS so we can do esoteric stuff like Israeli conversions without sacrificing an entire kit.
A really good late high-bustle turret with the cheek armor properly represented (Tamiya doesn't) and the mantlet placed correctly (DML doesn't).

I'd like to see conversions for Engineering AFVs.

It might be cool to see AM items for 'test/prototype' tools, such as Mine Flails on tanks, etc.

An Su-76 not a conversion I agree but an Su-76. Not enough Russian stuff that is good to build plus some Russian figures seems everything is either German or American most are and some tracks for the Italeri M-110 and M-107 in plastic
My 2 cents is this all Right General TreadHead

Most the ones I would like have been made, the desert storm conversions. My problem is they are all OOP and I can't track any of them down. I even called AEF and they won't make any more.

It ' ll be cool to see some AM&C kits IN PLASTIC...! I don' t like this smelly resin stuff...
First in all: a TRUE Sherman M 4A2 kit ( Tarawa' s fashion ! ), then, in real hard plastic...
- A lovely M 54 truck cab...( I haven' t the patience, and skill, of " You name him " ! )
- A M 48A3 TRANSPARENT vision block ring...( with the M1 cupola, it would be better ! )
- Some TRUE scale .30 and .50, ammo belt...( 5/7cm long ' ll be fine ! )
- An M3 75mm gun SPM, with shield...( Tarawa, again ! )
- LVTs' link-to-link working tracks...
- An M10 TD 3' gun...( in metal, of course ! )
- And ALL US kits tyres made in hard plastic....( these gummy vinyl disks ' re, definitely, horribles ! )
That' s all, folks...At least, for today !
Have a nice day...!

I would love to see AM kits for the American Halftrack series. Verlinden did two for the Tamiya kit, but there are still a lot of varients out there. This would include all models of the Halftrack from the early M2A1 through all of the different varients. Just look at R.P. Hunnicutt's book and you can see what I mean.

I have to go along with these suggestions. Also, I'd like to see some U.S. ammo trailers.
