yes you are right........that one was the british Colour of war though (also good too)
I read somewhere that Prime would also be showing the Japanese colour of war after the American one.

If you guys have sky digital, check out the History channel. There is an excellent program called Command Decisions. It covers different phases in WWII and test your strategies based on actual events.

There would be questions mid way through like this one.

Scenario: Hitler is rolling his tanks towards the town of Stalingrad, do you:

1) Lay land mines to slow their advance
2) Arm and train dogs with explosive to crawl under tanks
3) Throw several grenades at each tank

Answer: Stalingrad carried out option 2!

You would be surprised at some of the actions taken in WW2.

That truly is tragic. Do you currently have Sky UHF? The base package includes all the doco channels which is still cheaper than the smallest package in Sky UHF. Try persuading them from that angle and they might give in.

Oh dear this also means you watch delayed forecast of the Tri Nations games....

One more win for the ABs and the tri nations cup comes back to our shores!

I damn near had a heart attack when the Boks scored on Jerry Collins mistake. I ended up jumping on the table when Kevin scored the final try to seal it.

That referee was blind as......the boks commited so many off sides that went unpunished! Not to mention the mid air tackles on Joe as well.

and if any of you are desperate to see this and cant find a rental store that has it, you can buy it straight from the history channel site.

Check it out!

There are some really good DVDs up there but like most of you, i dont really want to spend an arm and a leg to get it as thats already reserve for petrol....any clues which rental store have a good collection of these docos? I've already tried Blockbuster with little success. The only one by the HistoryChannel is 'Blunders of WWII' which is very good as well i might add. I would recommend that too.

Jeremy, I don't think that many Rental stores will carry it. My sister works in a video store and they have a poor selection of docos.

If you live in the Big Smoke, try VIDEON in Dominion road - the BEST selection of videos in town, probably because they're not part of an Evil franchise like Blockbuster.
They have a major selection of DVDs as well - I know a bloke whose daughter is studying WW2 for school history and she's been able to get DVDs on the subject from Videon.

$0.02

Hi Guys

At my local Civic video they have a great range of DVD's eg Panther, Tiger Panzer III History of Waffen SS . Only $4.00 for a week.

Hey Andy you poor guy no UHF aerial no broadband leave home and become a boader at our place LOL

Mind you I don't watch enough TV to justify getting sky to busy modelling.

Regards

Yeah i seem to be finding that out the hard way. The best selection i have found so far is on www.fatso.co.nz but it is a bit of a pain that they rely on monthly subscriptions as oppose to the casual style of rental. Would recommend them to those of you tv addicts though as a couple of my mates are subscribed to them with no complaints.

Is that the only store up here in the Big Smoke? I live out east so its a bit of a drive.
