I have about 120 unbuilt AFV kits, 40 unbuilt figure kits (some opened for parts) about 40 resin conversions. My oldest kit is the ESCI partisans. Most of the AFVs are mutiples of thins like M60s and M113s and Halftracks. (gotta make all those lovely IDF conversions)I've slowed the aquisition of kits and now spend the lions share of my money on AM parts and pieces. As long as I continue to build My wife is quite understanding as long as I dont ask her to go to the museums. HER lione IF you've seen one green tank you've seen em all.

Add 1 to my inventory! I bravely walked inside in full view of my wife and opened the bag and pulled out a 1/48 Itelari F22.............I quickly then handed my wife a ceramic figurine of a hummingbird connected to a flower(she paints these)
You just have to know how to bring your new kits in

That is a good one my friend. I must keep this in mind.

I am only taking 18 armor kits with me to Sicily. The other 50+ aircraft and ship kits will go into long term storage. It will only be a 3-4 year tour, so I gotta work quick!

Right now 100 kits in the closet. Also about 10 aircraft kits. Plus a bunch of diorama scenery kits (Verlinden, Custom Dioramics, etc), figures, and LOTS of accessories ranging from resin stuff to decal sheets.

In a word; too much! Say $30 a kit average. That's a lot of beer money!

I get one kit completed every 3 or 4 months so there's no need to be buying more now. But I just got the latest Squadron supplement...

All kidding aside, I really need to focus on the fun stuff, building, scratching, weathering, and not be so worried about the latest "hot" item.

Plus, I need to get a PE set for every kit. Can't just build them OOB ya' know...

All rightie... here's the latest tally!
Aircraft - 8 (one of these, Testor's F2H - 2 Banshee, will never be built)
Armor - 8 (want to get PE and resin details for all of these)
Star Wars - 5 (need more)
Ship - 1 (want more)
Real space - 2 (My Dad's got them all!)
Cars - 2 (One will be scrapped for spare parts - I'm phasing cars out)
Figures - 1 (these are 1/35th, I want to get a larger scale figure and make a sci-fi marine)
Accessory kits - 1 (Tamiya's Allied Vehicles Accessory kit)
That brings the total of 27 unbuilt. Two are on my workbench:
Tamiya's 1/48th F4U - 1A Corsair (Kit #61070)
Halcyon's Alien Warrior (still) - I've had problems with seams on the legs, so he's neglected in the corner for now...

"Unbuilt" is not my real problem - "unfinished" is! i do mainly dioramas, so think in terms of "tank and base are done, building is not..." or "building and figures are done, but Armor is not!".

i have a pretty large inventory, but mine turns pretty fast as customers come in and pick out what they want in the work i do for them.... probably something like this:

15 unbuilt Armor kits
20 unbuilt Diorama kits (although I mainly scratchbuild, i use kits to supplement)
35 unbuilt Resin Figure kits
12 unbuilt Plastic Figure kits

But the real problem is "where to put the unfinished diorama while working on other commissions....?". i probably have 15-20 unfinished dio's at any time. Right now I am working on a Windmill, Fall of Berlin, Field Lunch, and one space scene "A small step for Mankin".... but that is just what got started THIS WEEK ALONE!

Oh well - if my wife ever tells me I have too many models, i tell her she has too many pairs of shoes... and at least my models make money! (Then I duck ....FAST!)

Okayyy..... Time for a minor update!
Add the following:
-Banner Models' 1/350th USS Arizona
-The following Ertl kits:
--Cut away Millennuim Falcon
--Battle Droid on STAP
--Naboo Starfighter
--Trade Federation Tank
--Anakin's Podracer
-Monogram's Colonial Viper
-Fine Molds versions of:
--TIE Fighter
--X-wing
--Jedi Starfighter

That brings the total to 37 or so... I think I'll hold off on buying more kits for the time being.
Detail sets are a different matter!!! #:-)

I have 146 unbuilt kits, most are 1/48 WWII, some are are early jets, I just love those natural metal finishes, some are 1/72 helicopters and modern jets that will probably never get built. Plus, as stated elswere about 32 kits in various stages of construction. Interestingly all of my kits are on shelves in my hobby room and my wife doesn't say anything, apart from calling it a model shop.
Everything I buy I intend to build but as my skills get better I seem to take longer. I don't realistically believe that I will complete them all but it doesn't stop me buy more

Full resin kits = 100
