I am in the Carthage/Joplin area. Another Armorama member (Anders Heintz) is in the Springfield area. BroAbrams is in Kansas City and Bob Kerr is also in Kansas City.

Wow, another Mid-Mo modeler!? Say it ain't so.
I'm in Fulton, but work at the VA. I hit the Hobbytown once in awhile for FSM, but usually go to StL to CRM
for the serious stuff. Hit me up sometime!

Quite a few area modelers, but no REAL shops around...
I've frequented the east and west side of Mizzou, but the only good shop is in StL. I'm going there next weekend to pick up an order. If you guys haven't been to CRM, you should try to hit it up.
There is so much stuff crammed in that store, two people can't walk side by side in the aisles.
They also have one half of the store dedicated to nothing but reference material and collectors kits.
Road trip anyone?...
If anyone knows of anyshops around, please let me know.

sopmod6, where is CRM? Can you give me a street address? Let me know b/c I want to visit. I usually just go to Hobbytown USA, Hobby Lobby or order from greatmodels.com.

Check out CRM's website: http://www.crmhobbies.com/
Chris comes over to Kansas City a few times a year for IPMS and AMPS shows and to swap meets at the IPMS Great Plains meetings.
I don't know his plans, but he'll likely be at the Show Me State Model Show Sept. 17. http://www.warshipmodels.com/ipms-wcmo/2005-contest/2005_index.html
Another great model contact in KC is Gordon Kwan, who runs Sprue Brothers. http://www.spruebrothers.com/ If Gordon has it listed on the website, he has it in stock and will usually ship the next day. Of course, being in KC, you might save shipping and just pick up your order at his house! He's a great guy -- give him a call.

I myself didn't even know about S-Brothers til I came across this site. He's about 2 hrs from me (CRM 1 hour) but due to insurance purposes, only sends packages out. He has alot of kits I've been wanting to get my hands on.

I've never been to CRM, will have to do that sometime. One shop that I have frequented since they opened in '76 is Mark Twain Hobby Shop in St. Charles, MO. You can find details on their website. They have a great staff and a great selection of all kinds of kits.
BTW, I live over in Troy which is NW of St. Louis.
