A great issue! Aircraft, armor, and ships are all well covered.
The paint reference article is something I've been looking for awhile.

The F4U on the cover reminds me of a Corsair model I saw years ago. Shep Paine did it I think and it was in either FSM and a mag long gone called Scale Modler. Had the wings folded and a neat pilot figure, it was awesome as is this one.

I saw the M1 at AMPS last year and it was AWESOME!

overall a very god issue, but did anyone else notice that in the pics of the B1, not all the
wheels touch the ground?

not to nit pick too much since I cannot touch Paul Boyer with a 10m stick.. still I saw that one.

Friends,

I've been looking at some magazines during this past month. I couldn't decide on what to buy though. Does these comments mean that FSM is THE magazine to buy ?

It is good sometimes. But I still think MMIR is better or AFV mag which you can't get out here in the boone docks. Now don't get me wrong it FSM is good but sometimes they rehash stuff from 5 years ago. Actually I also think Military Modeler can be quite good. shoot they all have good and bad points

Personally I think FSM is great as the "all around" modeling mag. It's the least expensive of all the other mags too.

Haven't gottenmine yet. Does anyone know if the M-1 is John Smith's? If so, and I don't know if the article shows this, but all the interior lilghting, including gauges, works. This tok a best of show at our contest a couple years ago.

Yes to all your questions except it doesn't show lighting, just states that it's there.

This afternoon I called my magseller to put aside a copy of this months FSM. Het then told me as from last month he decided to discontinue the delivery of FSM.......

Now it's a new search on where to buy FSM from now on.

Since I would love to get my hands on the painting reference article and the painting camouflage uniforms, is there anybody who could scan and mail me the article ?

Would appreciate this very much.

Eagle as far as FSM goes try your local book store like Barnes and Noble if they have any modelling mags that's usually the one. I subscribe to MMir and FSM. I get MilitaryModelcraf in exchange for my FSMs after I read them, I like the photography of AFV Modeler fut find it an extravagance without IDF coverage. IF you can only afford one for Armor get MMir, IT gives you the best overall coverage of armor and figures for armor. My 1cent.

Haven't got mine yet, can't wait til it gets here. It usually doesn't show up until the middle of the month, that's if the plane carrying the mail doesn't break down. When I do finally retrieve it from my mail box, straight home I go. Then, to fridge for a cold beverage and out to the balcony where nobody is allowed to bother me until I come back in. It's almost sorta kinda like some kind of religous type of experience. Do I need to seek help?

Sorry, we're just a small town in a small country... No Barnes and Noble over here. I'll do the searchparty this week. Not many bookstores though.

On the subscribtion, I'd have to say no. I usually buy whatever mag is covering the most of my needs that month. Maybe the discontinued FSM changes this ..

Im gonna hunt.....

Danny,
I know FSM is on sale at the airport press shop downstairs. I'm sure you'd find it at Schiphol or other Dutch airports, too. A few stores in Antwerp have it, too.
Can't you get a subscribtion ?

And about the airports...they're just a bit to far away for getting a mag. Well to make a long story short...... still no bookstore where to get it..... I received a copy from the paint reference, but still no painting article......

If anybody can help me out here....... please do...

but still the search continues....
