Tell you what ... send me some money and I'll get some for you.

Being a REALLY NICE GUY I'll even build and paint them and display them on my shelves for you. That the kinda nice guy I am ... I'll even toss in photos of them after they are complete. :-) :-)

Sorry you don't have one around, I'd rather have there 50% off sale via there internet coupon but they won't do that until after Christmas if they follow suit of what they have done in the past.

But they really don't have much in the way of a online store and next to nothing listed in terms of models. It's just one of those big box walk in hobby store store chains.

Howdy fellas,

What's becoming increasingly funny about this whole thing is, that it seems that every store carries just about the same selection, except that they generally have at least one or two items that are different from each other.....

I noticed the HL right nearby me has added the new Academy 1/48th scale Chinook kit (I picked one up last sale). They've also added a couple of Accurate Miniatures kits as well (beside the Mitchell and the Dauntless).

Tread.

Wish one of my local HL's had the Famo.....

I haven't seen the FAMO at the one I have near by either and the closest one to me is about 60 miles!! But I have to go to that town anyway once a week so it's not out of the way. That next closest is over a 100 miles away so I have to take what I can get at my so called local one.

True they are like a Wal-Mart of Hobbies and Crafts, there all about the same. Not much difference in any of them barring a couple of items. The one I go to is so dis-organized you got to dig around on the shelves and you never know what might pop out of some hole.

On their last 50% off slaes I found a Dragon Wagon stuck on a top shelf behind a bunch of Sailing ship models. I have no idea how long it had been there but it had plenty of dust on it.

If they have a FAMO .... IT'S MINE ... you hear me MINE! But last week I was in there and I didn't see one, didn't see much I didn't already have. But I might just have to get the F16 in 1:32 it is a massive model or at least the box is huge. Bigger than my first apartment. :-)

OH DON'T FORGET FASHION PURSES ARE 50% OFF TOO!! :-)

Did anyone score any deals? Hobby Lobby is great about mis-tagging prices. I got a few models today while there, no super deals, but I did get the old M2 Bradley for a little over $8.00

i didn't score but a while back a guy bought a lionel train set for his son (expensive$$$) for only like $70, it was worth $220!!! i got the sd. kfz. 251/1(looks like the "old" tamiya kits), the german 7.5 cm anti tank (for the tank terror campaign) and a set of US weapons. i also got 3 bottles of paint (not on sale, go figure) for a total of $24.41. if i had more money at the time i would have gotten every model there, quite a good selection.

They did it again.....my local HL has a M113A2 desert version that sold last week for 35.00 now priced at 48.00 and then 40% off that price. This store seems to jack their prices every time things go on sale. I mentioned this to the manager, and he could have cared less....comes with having a "captive" audience and being basically the only game in town i guess. Oh well, back to mail order.

I've never seen them do that at the three stores in our area. One thing they do do is the sale just before Christmas has been only 40% off, instead of 50% off like every other model sale they have throughout the year.

I don't know if it would do any good but there website has an email to customer service. http://www.hobbylobby.com/site3/customer/contactus.cfm?company=hobbylobby&addr=customer.service&dept=Customer_Service

I'd write to them just to let them know how you feel. If nothing else it gives you a chance to get it off your chest.

We have three HL stores here and I hit all three. I could not find anything that HAD to go home with me. I guess it is just as well with over 1200 kits on my shelves as it is. Maybe next time. "Q"

My Hobby Lobby has never jacked prices and sometimes even gives you the discount on top of a clearance price. not a lot of modeller around here I guess. So they are just happy to sell them. They'll like have another 50% off sale a month or two after Christmas. They had the M113A2 at mine for $32.99 So I grabbed one for about $20.00 sale price.
I'll be back in the town in a couple of days so I'll hit it again. The manage in that department said she was expecting some more stuff in so maybe I'll get lucky and get a FAMO, but I'm not holding my breath.

Well, thanks to you guys, we just spent a good wad o money.... on two German King Tigers Ardennes Front by Tamiya, and an Iraqi T69 by Hobby Craft, all in 1/35th scale. And a Tamiya Pak 40 antitank gun. Came out to like $90 with tax. What an anniversary present !!!!!

One King Tiger for me, One for Sel.. we're going to do a build together...
