Well i know that this is an all time classic question but since here is the frist od December i have been entering in a Christmas - New year mode , which means holiday and presents.

So tell freely what u wish to have as a best modelling present , and if u already know what u ll get ? (from others or yourself it doesnt make a difference )

Happy modelling and present receiving friends

Well, my brother, here it is

since im ortodox i first celebrate "world" new year on december 31st, than we celebrate our cristmas, and finaly we celebrate "serbian new year" on january 14th

So, three holidays, and so many wishes..... (:-)

Well... easy question is: what would i want?

1. A 1/35 kit of T-34 russian tank.
2. any of the 1/35 models WWII
3. Any acessories in 1/35 that could be used in WWII dioramas...

the HARD question is, what will i get?
So far as i know, nothing

But, at least i will have enuff money to buy myself a set of figs or something for a present! And thanks to "some" peeps from this site, i still have things to model! so looks like a "in_modeling_room_all_night_modeling" new year for me....

(:-)
Happy hollidays

Ah the Holidays -

An even better excuse to feel like (and maybe act a little like) a kid again. A family tradition has everyone making out a Christmas "wish list", so my modeling wishes include:
Tamiya's "Ardennes" King Tiger
Tamiya or Academy Tiger I
Academy M10
NO ties!!! I've never been able to work one of those darn things into a diorama so they just hang around the closet.
Happy Holidays all!

From the little lady i'm getting a memory stick for my digital camera as well as a few accessories for it - so that I can learn to take better pics of models and genealogical documents among other things.

From myself, I am hopefully getting the Osprey British Battledress and British AntiTank books - if the order actually gets filled this time!

Well from the State of New Jersey, since guys go on vacation between Christmas and New Years, they are nice enough to give me 40 hours overtime, working 16 on Christmas Eve, and 16 on Christmas Day, the same for New Years, and the following Monday.......... :-) :-) :-) :-) as I count the cash...... LOL........
As for gifts, I buy a few for some close friends.
And of course, being a senile oldman, my wish is delusional, :-) :-) :-) ... waking up 30 years younger..... knowing what I know now...... and a hot _____ (yous guys can fill in the blank) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) rolling on floor........ Think I'll just work the overtime........ :-) :-) :-)

Well my sister is going to get me a model. She's rich, but we'll see if she goes for it. In any case it will either be Trumpeter's 350 scale Nimitz or Jeremiah O'brien.........so I can't loose. Unfortuneatly I had to keep it simple or I might have shot for that M-54 tractor trailer kits. Expect a bunch of gift cards from the folks for Blockbuster and movie tickets

Hhhmmm...an XMas Wish List or Just Wishful Thinking?

I am shooting for (pun fully intended), of all things, a 1/1 scale MP-40. It is actually a BB gun, but comes unassembled and needs paint.

http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/images/spring_mp40_jpg.jpg " TARGET="_blank"> http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/images/spring_mp40_jpg.jpg

Perhaps a new airbrush?

If I had my druthers, Santa would be bringing me a collection of 1/16th armor and leading the pack would be Trumpeter's T-34.

Oh to be a kid again when joy was to be had with simple Tonka trucks!

As corny as this is going to sound, my wife knows that anything as far as the hooby goes that I want, I already have. So, frankly, I am sorta hoping for socks and underwear... That and a Trumpeter Leopold....

I actually want the Band of Brothers DVD set and Halo2 for Xbox. I would rather get cash than models when it comes to the hobby because, all good intentions aside, they get my some crappy kit.

Welli d really like to have the 1/35 Trumpeter Hind , but thats not likely to happen. Wise thinking after the lab restoration expenses, i ll be just waiting for relatives gifts, and somewhere in there will be some nice figure i hope !!!. All my present money will be spent for the 2 ladies of my life to get them nice thingies (:-)

This is more along the lines Im thinking of also! Except I already have the T. Leopold. Im just glad to get the time off and do some modelling- We´ve been so busy at work for the last 6 months, my modelling time has dwindled. Im free from the 22nd of december to the 10th of january. Ive told the wife if she can find "a bridge to far" on DVD, it would be perfect!

Oh well, now I guess it give me a reason to get the Terrain Modelling book...

Rudi

I have (or at least used to have) that and it's one of Osprey's older and less-good books. If you're only into BD use in WW2 the second volume of the battle insignia MAA is about as good.

Have a look at this link for more things Mike Chappell has done. Warning! you may want to get them:
