I but a lot of stuff on ebay and quite frequently snake someone in the last second. Have had it done to me as well. Saw something I really wanted but the name guntruckmodeler was bidding. Of course I figure this is our beloved Gunny. So I thought maybe those of us that frequent ebay a lot shoud post out ebay names here and it might prevent some snaking, or perhaps a negotiation. My ebay name is DELTAARROW. At present I am looking forsome Humvee aftermarket and a Humvee commando version from Italerie. Oh, and if an AVLB conversion kit comes up....all bets are off !! :-)

I am rgronovius

Real original

581 positives from unique users (725 total positives), no negatives or neutrals.

As far as getting outbid in the final minutes, oh well, another will come along.

On Ebay I use drizz666 due to all my other wanted names being taken . 83 positive feedback and no negatives. Funnily enough I've just had an email from a friend who lives local to me. It seems I've just outbid him on an older DML firefly kit, oooops. Neither of us knew the others Ebay id.

And.....

If you click on the Shopping Link on the left....

MAGIC!

But come back later and read the rest if you are already going there!!

The user profile fields now have an addition. Your eBay ID name. The dynamic pull from the eBay site is great but there are some limitations on their end. Mainly that they only allow 10 user names to be searched at one time. So...what I did was select at random 10 user IDs that are in the user table. The only problem being that if everyone enters their ID but rarely has anything up for auction (like 90% of you) then nothing will show up unless a seller is randomly picked. In fact there is a chance when you went to the Shopping page that nothing showed up because steeldog51 did not get selected.

SO....what we really need people to do is ONLY enter their eBay ID if they regularly sell items on eBay. It doesn't have to be 24/7 obviously but selling more than a couple items a year would be nice.

Whattya think?

By the way I entered all your IDs above in your profiles for testing. You can remove them if you would like.

Thanks,
Jim

Jim thats ace thanks mate !
not only will it hopefully promote items of interest to modellers from this site ,it will also mean that there will be trust built between buyer and seller ,i know for sure i'd rather deal with people who are my friends and extended family on this site, than someone i didnt know too well . i do sell very regularly on e-bay all sorts of model related items and militaria and if the customer is an armorama colleague then i will offer superb discounts on postage etc...

Jim thanks for picking up the ball and running with it. great idea adding our ebay names to a call down list. I buy most of my models on ebay and sometimes the competition is fierce. This might enable us to make deals not to bid against each other, or if someone is selling to cut a little better deal. My plan was just to write names down so if I saw something I wanted knew not to take it away, or maybe send that person a PM and negotiate something with them. So if more people read this thread, please eep adding to it, I'm writing down names, oh and not looking for your percentage of good vs negative as for me I'm still 100%, but I only buy.

im another guy who uses nearly the same name on ebay (almonkey0) it keeps things simple i only buy though, 1970's dinky toys mainly, recently i became a member of a dinky site/forum thats the same kind of thing as here, and a guy put up a post about some decals he was selling on ebay, that i bid on and won, when i mentioned i was a member of that site he said he'd throw in some extras for a fellow collector, when i got his package (from canada) he put in nearly twice as many decals as i had bid for, needless to say he got a positive feedback! so lettimg people here know who you are on ebay would probably be a good thing
