Tonight on Nova on PBS (check local listings) they are investigating the real story of the mass escape from Stalag Luft III. I read a review and it sounds pretty interesting.

It was a pretty good show, as military history and archaeology go. It was neat seeing how much old stuff they found from "Tunnel Dick." Too bad they couldn't dig up the whole thing, but that sand was dangerous. It's a miracle those old boys didn't get killed building those tunnels.
