The history of that is so they could show panzerjagers how to destroy enemy tanks, by showing the troopers the tanks weaknesses and how to attack them.

WOW..............I was pretty amazed at the outline accuracy of some of those models, pretty impresive stuff.

cool link, you know those kids in the background were in awe over those. I remember my older brother building armor when I was young. I coudn't wait till he left so I could take them off the shelf and have a mock battle.

But the most interesting is just the fact of building models during the middle of a World War.

I think sometimes pilots or aircrew would carve a model of their airplane. I don't know about tanks........

WW2 tankers making tank models in their spare time! Three figures, one smoking pipe, one building, one giving besserwisser instructions inside a fortified bunker somewhere in the front....
