Correcting the DUKW Anchor

Here are a few pics of my progress and hopefully close to a final version of the DUKW anchor to replace the one that comes in the kit. It has 8 brass parts and 1aluminum. The parts are measured, cut, then hammered with a small brass mallet to give a more realistic forged metal look to the finish, then shaped and glued. The hammering adds to the look alot instead of using the materials pristine fom the LHS.

I fixed my anchor by hiding parts of it under a tarp, LOL

that's a very nice anchor. had i saw this earlier..i might have tried making one..this one is nice. has chain and moving parts too. the kit's anchor look so flat. thanks for sharing.
