When did these get out? I was looking around google, when I found this site with some interesting kits on them!


A 1/48 tiger 1? A 1/48th early sherman?

The Tiger is due shortly, the Sherman possably next month (December) according to HLJ. There's a Stug III Ausf B to follow those.

They've been sneaking these kits in for a while. After they released the 1/48 Me-262 with a Kettenkraftrad as a tow tractor, they scaled down their 1/35 Kubelwagen and then released the Kettenkraftrad with trailer and Goliath as a separate kit. They then scaled down their DAK Kubelwagen.

You're probably too young to know this, but Tamiya has had a long line of motorized 1/48 scale kits out since the 60s. The did the T-34, SU-85, M60, M60A1, M60A2, MBT-71, S-tank and perhaps a couple of others.

They also did a set of remote controlled 1/48 scale armor kits that included the modern Jagdpanzer Kanone, JGSDF Type 74 and some others.
