Here's my latest subject:
An Air Cannon, capable of shooting over 100 Metres, and thru a cardboard box at 40 metres!!

If you want to see a video of this thing in action, PM me your E-Mail adress and i will send it to you.
Also, Does anyone have a name I should call this beast?

Rob

P.S. That's me holding the air cannon

Hey silantra

Yep that's me. I used a standard 1" Sprinkler solenoid valve (Electric Valve) and 3 9V batteries for power to the solenoid. The ammo is like a nerf foam bullet with a lead Fishing weight in the front. The diameter of the bullet is 7/8". Each bullet weighs about a quarter pound, I guess. The trigger is a simple momentary switch from Radio Shack (Duh... :-) ). The pipes are simple pvc pipes and various pvc caps and stuff. The ammo is loaded into the side of the barrel and a sleeve is slid over the barrel( Maybe another pic?) To make the barrel resonably air tight. I usually pressurize it to about 50 P.S.I. for each shot. The air is filled thru a normal tire valve with a bike pump.

That's about all, if you have anymore questions feel free to ask!

Better watch out the miltary will be after your invention.
It looks more to me like an airwatchamacallit or an airthingymigigy
