Hi all. I have a couple of older models that I want to "rework" with some newer techniques (learned on the Big A!). Is there any way to remove old decals without jeopardizing the paint job? They do not have Future or any paint on over them.

Thanks

MIke,
If the decals are not sealed with a top coat like dullcote or future you can use Microscale's Micro Set . Just brush it on and keep it wet untill the decla lifts off. HTH
cheers,
Bryan

i felt liek painting yesterday, so i put an old revell p-40 in hot water with javel. the acrylic paint lost its greenness but hte enamel camo stayed there, but lightened jsut a little, and the decals came rigth off, right now,i primed hte plan and its drying. or jsut dont add javel, jsut plain hot water will do it

Try scotch tape to lift the decals.
