Very nice Peter, what do you paint in, watercolors?
Don't know the make, but I think it's probably from the 60's?
How do you find time for all this?? :-)

Cheers
Henk

Nice Painting Peter, that brings back some childhood memories. We used to pull on the handle that made them go around the corner and the drivers used to chase us, I got caught once and got a right good hiding :-)

i dont know anything about double decker trollies as i've never even seen one up close so i'm not gonna guess the model. but the painting is real nice and you've got excellent talent. i actually set that painting as my background on my desktop. what type of paintings do you usually do?

You've certainly got a wonderful talent there Peter! Very cool artwork indeed!!

Can you give the uninformed a rough time period that that was in use? I never saw anything like that around London during Aug-Sep 1970 nor when I was back there in the early '80's. (First time I was looking at the 'birds', second time my wife was keeping an eye out on me. :-))

I'd like to know anyway...

Hi I think its from the fifties.

I do water colours for scenery/ landscapes, but for vehicles I find Gouache better for detail.
These buses are really a practise, to get me back in to the swing. They are all done at original size of A5.
Proper ones will be done a little bigger, at something between A4 and A3. Its an old trick for reproduction. i.e. do them bigger to get in all the detail and then reduce for printing to tighten everything up. This is especially useful for things like lettering, emblems etc.

Cheers and thanks
Peter
