Hi

having had elastic bandages put on my finger recently, it occured to me that maybe...just maybe the finer type of this might make decent camo nets...??
Especially if stretched over support poles.

Of course I may be way off but thought it worth throwing into the pot....or is it an old idea...
In that case...keep up flitzer....keep up.
Maybe I should go and hide under one.

Cheers
Peter

Good morning, Peter...
So sorry to here of your recent oops!...I am an old student of the "Use what you got" theory when it comes to anything, and I have tried to use the elastic gauze that you are speaking of with some success...for some reason I had a problem with it taking paint...Give it a shot, sir, But watch out for those sharp edges!!!!

Sincerely,
Gunny

Hi
I don't think its the band aid stuff.
I was thinking of the light mesh gauze type.

Its quite open in its mesh and just looked like the base mesh of camo netting.

Cheers

its better known as kling, and it does stretch easy. it can be purchsed up to 6" rolls in width. thanks for the idea. i will take a 1" x 12" board and drill peg holes in it, then place different types of dowels in it and stretch the gauze over it and then try a light paint coating in different camo colors to see how it works.

will let ya know how it turns out, again thanks for a great idea.....

I never tried Kling, but got some good results with regular gauze bandage. As far as color, I soaked it in differant shades of Rit dye instead of painting (sorry, this is the only pic I have.
