Have finished my M4A3 Sherman, and want to whitewash it,for a winter scene.Would the stowage have been whitewashed too?
I have tools,ammo boxes,weapons,helmets etc as stowage.

Rafterman, If it was my tank....loddy doddy everybody....everything would get the treatment. I'd kind of hap-hazardly apply it though to give it that "applied in the field look". Just my .02 cents worth.. "Q"

Hi
I'm no expert but I imagine everything on the tank at the time of painting would have got whitewashed.
Later, things like ammo boxes that were re-newed may well be in the original colour. It would make a nice bit of contrast maybe.

I do agree with Red4...application would probably have been hastily applied and therefore would look a little rough and uneven.

Cheers
