Wow it has been a while since I have posted here. For the last couple months I have been checking in and reading some articles and posts.

So where have I been? In a 2 room apartment with a 3 and a 5 year old. I had to do my modeling on the kitchen table which required me to set everything up and take it back down every time I worked on a model, while keeping a 3 year old away from razor blades and multiple harmful chemicals. It got to the point were it was just not any fun, so I took a break. I have still gone to shows and some club meetings but I have not been building anything.

Well now I have a new job (much, much, better) which enabled us to get into a home were I have my own space to leave all my stuff out. I am still not building yet because we have to finish some painting and unpacking, but soon I will be back at it. Anyway I look forward to meeting all the new people and chatting with old friends.

Some of you may remember my kids love to add emoticons to my posts so I will often have a bunch of different ones at the end of my post just to keep the younglings happy.

Hi

Know how it feels with a 7, 5 and 3 year old boys in the house. Its real hard to build and supervise at the same time.

Being a parent and a modeller can be a real challenge at times. However my five year old just build his first tank a Tiger 1 he loved it and its his pride and joy it was rewarding to pass on the torch. We are to paint it shortly.

I share your frustration plus I went through the kitchen table scenario. The positive is that I have got into the habit of being tidy and putting things away not a bad thing.

Be patient and the desire to build will be rekindled.

Yours in parenting/modelling

Andrew!
I had wondered where my fellow Fresnoian had gone. Glad to hear you will be more active. How's the local club doing? I am mad that I missed so many shows this year on account of "things".

Say hi to the younglings.

Cheers,
Jim

Welcome Home Drew.....
Congrats on the new job, and home.
I also set up and take down to model, but I do it on my desk on the night shifts, so it isn't a bad deal.
At home got a little place in the corner of the bed room.

Drewgimpy -

Always an honor to welcome back "veterans". Glad to hear of your success and move into home ownership. It sure is nice to have a place to call your own and enjoy your hobby, you've earned it! Hope to hear more from you soon and see some of your projects.

Hi Andrew

I know exactley how it is. I have a 18 month old son and a 6 year old daughter. two month ago I had to give up my modeling room, so my son could get a room of his own.
At the moment I do my modeling at the diningtable, in the livingroom. Not the perfect place for messing with paint and plastic.

I have planed to make a knew modelingplace in the attick(Loft)
