Hiya guys..had the good fortune of going to my first model show yesterday with Kevin. It was a first for both of us. It was great being surrounded by so many people in one place all with the same common intrest. Made me want to really get to work and get something finished. And also what made the trip even that much more sweeter. Kevin taking top honors in the show. Winning first place in the dio. catagory, Peoples Choice Award, and Judges Choice Award. We were informed that rarely does the latter two awards ever go to the same person, so you can imagine how proud i was of him. Anyway..cant wait till im able to go to another show, and hopefully get a piece of my own finished that i can enter

Its hard to beat that "kid on christmas morning" feeling one gets at a good show. Although Im not into competing ... I love the atmosphere and the fun at these shows. Congrats Kevin ... I had a feeling your dio would pick up a few awards.

Congratulations and very well done. A double whammy.
I've yet to go to a show. Fat chance here.
But I intend doing so when I get home.
So I've that joy to look forward to.
And Frank's right...I'm already getting that "can't wait for Christmas" feeling....
oh let the North wind blow and the rain come down in buckets...I'll be off to a modelling show come what may...well it might be June...lol.
Ah well ...flitzers gone all whimsical again....a pat on the head and a cool beer in a shadowy corner and I'll calm down. All together now..."ahhhhhhhhh"
Cheers

Howdy, I also went to my first show yesterday ( 10/25) with Grumpyolddave and had a great time! I only wish I hadn't chickened out and brought up an entry
The only thing that bothered me, is, I wish I were independently wealthy like Dave and had more to spend! You know someone is out of control when they make you walk 5 miles to a money machine because they need more kits. Must say Pete had great hotdogs though!
