There have already been some great photos posted, but I thought I would throw some more out there for everyone who couldn't be there. I have about forty uploaded so far, and about 120 more.

I cannot say enough what a great time I had. The experience surpassed anything I could've imagined. The modeling to be seen was flat out unbelievable. This hobby has been taken to a level that I think most of us only dreamed of.

But most impressive of all was the comraderie that I found amongst the modelers present. Here right before my very eyes, well a bit behind the pint in my hand, where the greatest modelers in the world. Every one of them eager to answer my limitless questions. This was far more motivating to me then what I saw out on those tables.

And in no particular order, I'd just like to give a shout out to the following:

Paul, Luca, and Andrew. The three of you have been instrumental in my continuing with this hobby. And the looks on Andrew and Luca's face after realizing that they were shaking my hand was priceless. Lee, whom am I very glad I made up with as he is much larger than me. Darren and Kev, who along with Paul, Lee and I made for long and interesting Saturday night/Sunday morning. Fabio, dude your enthusiasm for scratchbuilding is so refreshing. The Candadian contigent of Jim, Tom, Steven and Gary. Wonderful models, and I hope Gary has managed to keep his around him.

Others include, Paul, Alasdair, Francesco, Roddy, Chris, Rhodes (thanks for the tips on the Thai)Hell, the list could go on for a bit. If I missed you I apologize.

Anyway a link to the photos with some examples:

Hope you enjoy.

Just added another 30. I hope everyone is enjoying, although I apologize as my photography skills are about as good as my modeling ones.

Great pics. The Zoo Escape dio is awsome. Did it do well. It must have been best of show. So much to see, and your series of pics are brilliant.

Glad you guys are enjoying the pics! I really wish I had taken more....there just wasn't enough time.

The zoo dio by Douglas Lee, entitled "Berlin, East Africa" won a gold medal but not Best of Show. That honor went to Marjin Van Gils' "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" pictured above with the L/70(A). The overall atmosphere of this dio was just amazing. Looking at it made me feel cold and wet.

Stuke

I just spent the better part of an hour staring in awe at those pics. There is some real fine modelling going on on that side of the pond. It was not just the skill level which is up there, but the ideas behind most of the doramas is very origanal. Well now that I've picked my jaw up off the floor I think I'll go toss my models, and take up basket weaving, :-) :-) Just playing, great pics of a what looks like a great show. Thanks for the post Stuke

Hi Stuke. Just to say thanks for making the effort to take all these excellent photos and sharing them with us. Its brilliant that we have a chance to see them. The standard seems to be sky high. What a show! Picking best of show cant have been an easy task as there were a lot of worthy contenders. Cheers!

Thank you for the pics Stuke,

this pics are indeed a source of inspiration. And they show how far I have to go... From the ones I have seen so far, they all show the effort and love put into them. Some are quite humurous... It is also nice to see a few dio's and models that have floated around in the various "in progress/ constructive critcism dio's", like the "Minenhund" dio, and the Panther gowing down the slope... Most impressive so far is the dio with the zoo-animals going wild...

Though I have to admit I have seen a few that do not appeal to me at all, not because the modeller did a lousy job, but because of the colorschemes used, or the diorama subject, ie....

Thanks for a lot for the pics,

Harm.

I'm happy to see so many peopel are enjoying the pics. I know that I appreciate it whenever someone takes the effort to put these out for all to see and I felt that maybe it was my turn!

Judging from the 45,000 hits to the site, I think I have done a good service!

Thanks again for the comments!
