Hi
I'm not one to off-load like this but the recent shooting in Riyadh has hit me and the wife hard.
The poor man who got hit was known to us.
Amongst many others we had Christmas dinner and New Year celebrations with Big Eddie.
A big gentle giant of a man. Bless him.

My thoughts of course go to his family. Six children too.

Sorry for posting this but I had to let it out somewhere.

Thanks for listening and for your understanding.

My heartfelt sympathies for his family and for all of his friends left behind.

Things like this are just senseless tragedies. How I wish perpetrators of such violence would fully realize the heartache they cause by insensitive atrocities which really do not get them what they were after.

*hugs* to you and your wife and please pass my condolences along to the family.

I know this is a difficult time for you, sir.. but I hope you accept my condolences nd appologies for what happened. Believe me, normal Arabs like me feel even worse than you when things like this happen because it makes people think that we are all like this and we have to suffer a lot of hatred.
I myself lost 3 of my best friends when I was living in Beirut during the war.. and they had absolutely nothing to do with what was going on at the time. So, believe me, I know how you feel.
Again, and on behalf on all of us "NORMAL" Arabs, please accept my appologies. I just hope people here at Armorama will still accept me as amember and a friend. Thank you.

Thank you so much.
I feel a bit better already knowing I have friends like one finds on this wonderful site.

Its a very strange feeling...
A mix of utter saddness, deep worry of course and total white anger.
As a civilian here you have no real defence apart from staying in...but you have to go to work.
A soldier at least has a means of defence or hitting back.

Still we plan to go home come '05...counting the days.

Thanks for putting up with me.
It means a lot.
Cheers
Peter

A special thank you to you Hisham.
I've lived amongst Arabs since the early 80's in and around the Gulf and have always felt welcome, especially in that lovely little island Bahrain.
Here in Saudi...well less so, especially in these times.

Thank you again.

Hi Hisham,
We are all modelers here, and I like to think friends! I think it is a great thing we can all gether here in our club and share in the hobby we all love. There are people here from all over the world, and we are bonded by the pastime we enjoy. We are not accountable for others actions, we only see each other for what we are. Friends and modelers! Please feel at home here mate.

Best regards,

Garry
