Hiya Guys and Gals...I just got myself a new kitty and for the life of me i cant figure out what to name him.. He is really playful, sweet, and gets into everything. He is part Persian, 8 weeks old, and i got him from my local Humane Society. One more kitty rescued:))

Aw.... how sweet.... got my cats posted in my gallery.
Can't think of a name, but my was so rambunctious, I called him Rambo. So far he has single handedly destroyed three living room blinds, trying to get to look out. Just installed a set of verticle blinds, so he can now just push them aside.

That last picture, he looks like a General Patton to me!
How does that sound for a Tanky gal's cats name ?

Cheers Mary,

My friend had a dog named Rambo who thought it was master of all it surveyed...when it had a bandana around it's neck. Without the bandana, it cowered at it's own shadow. It was funny watching Rambo's reaction to losing his bandana; he hung his head, got a little jumpy, and almost looked depressed. With the bandana, he was fearless and always walked/sat bolt upright.

Hi Mary

The thing that jumps out in these pictures are those eyes (or "Peepers") as some call them.

Good luck in your new home, and with your new companion aka "Peepers"

It looks like a smoky, he has all the right colors of smoke. Grey , black etc. Or maybe even panzer ( He has the colors of a grey panzer tank color ) or some german army tank there are so many cool names of some tanks, trucks etc.

Hope it helped.

I named my japanesse Chin " Molly "

Happy Modeling

Lovely cat.
I had a kitten that looked similar a few years back. The markings between the ears made a perfect arrow so we called him Fletcher.

Er...names...
Amos
Argent...Silver in heraldic terms.
Pepper
Columbus
Nimbus.

Enough to be going on with...lol.
Cheers and a nice bit of fish for the kitten.

As he's a modellers cat how about "Sprue"? get's in the way, has plentiful attachment points (claws), and will always be found under your feet when you're modelling!
All our cats have been from the Cat's Protection League, nice one Mary.

How about Duster - he looks like one of those big fluffy dusters. Maybe Shadow.

I like the name sprue Dave tossed out.

We just rescued one last week too, you gotta love it. Ours became Oscar

thats a beautiful cat.
I have a 5 years old persian too called Cliff. I really like this breed's calmness and friendliness.

anyway, you could call him: Eduard, Jordi or Rubio, Boogie, Sabot, Flachet, Boresight, hull mounted mg etc. :-) (I was j/k of course, I wouldn't call him Eduard...).

now seriously, if I had another cat I'd call him Felix.

Awwww! What a sweetie!

Well, so far of those suggested, I think Argent and Sprue are "appropriate" names.

Mike and I have 6 cats - all rescued strays.

I ended up with a litter of four (when their pregnant momma showed up on my doorstep) and one who looked just like your new bundle 'o love and named him Owen. My Mom took him and his brother in for me (the boys were harassing the girls mercilessly). His brother, a tiger-striped tabby (looks like a wildcat), is Tigger. Their sisters are Lenore (from Edgar Allen Poe's poems - she's another tiger cat) and Isabeau (named after Pfeiffer's character in the movie Ladyhawk and she's a gray tortie).

Then we've also got Maerlynn (pronounced Merlin - tuxedo cat) and Bootsie (a "standard" tortie in "fall" colors). And Mike's two are Miranda (long-haired B&W) and Trotter (her son and a short haired "Gateway" cat as he's white with black splotches).

Anyhoo - good luck with your new little one and choosing a name.

Hi we have four monsters.
All adopted us.
Theres Amos, an all black tom-cat. He's getting old now but is a real softie.
Then there's Fluffy, a white persian and she's a real lady.
Pretzel, a rare burmilla. Her eyes are China blue, normally they have green eyes.
And a little ginger hooligan and she is always by Amos's side called pepper.

Cheers

How about nameing your kitten after a celib or hero. Our cat Gordy is named after Gorden Shagheardt, the delta force operatior who was killed in Mogadishu and Jeff Gorden our favorite nascar driver.
