I got a M107, and a M110A1 but somebody switched barrels in the 110A1 box and put a 107 barrel in there so now I have 2 M107's, but that is no problem, I plan to change one of them into a M578, it uses the same chassis as the M107 or the M110A1, so all I got to do is scratch the crane part.

I also got 3 GMC duce and a half, but I plan to do just a little different to each one of them, so they won't be exactly the same, but who knows on down the road, what I might do next.

Tamiya M4A3 Shermans 75mm and 105mm, Italeri M4A1, Italeri USMC M4. Of course each one is dressed up differently with different AM add-ons (dozers, cullins, Calliopes, etc.) so basically it's just a donor.

14 or 15 M151 in various configurations both scratch and commercial conversions.
A dozen or so M113 based vehicles.
Several M60's and M48's.

Keenan is right, the Tamiya 88 is just a cool kit. I have done it twice already and am super-detailing a third one (if you call working on it for three weeks then putting it back in it's box to work on something else and not ever getting back to it actually doing anything). I have built Tamiya's Dragon Wagon three times and just love it. I also did the Chally III a couple times.

Sure!!!

I've buildt several models more than once!!! - I was into aircraft modeling when I started...
I think I buildt more than 10 different F-16's during those years...

And as a armor modeler, I think it is the Centurion that top the list, with 5 different models!

Twice, three, four or more times I have built the "same" kit into different varients. Tigers - from Tunisia to Berlin, Tiger II's, Shermans - lost count how many of them I've built.

Now its modern - HMMWV's. one is completed and another "gun truck" is on the workbench. I've used the Academy or Italeri (same thing) since I can get them off E-bay for about $9.00.

I've built many kits twice, three, four times.
When I use to compete, I would buy two kits, put one together just to find out all the fit problems I was going to run into on my competion piece.
I also learned it was a great measuring stick. Looking at a kit I built before, and then looking at the results after more experience and practice.

I guess I've sort of taken this to the extreme. I've rebuilt completed kits. Kits I really like the shape of but have learned to do better at. They make for great "filler" projects when I'm working on a long term project. I've even gone back and rebuilt kits my son built when he was a pre teen (he's 33 now). Really it's not that I'm cheap, some of the kits aren't readily available now and I think I can improve on my previous effort. Got a box full of FW 190s scheduled for rebuild right now, and a couple of Tigers in the wings. With a stash of over 1000 models you'd think I have enough to work on, but I like to go back and revisit previous efforts, if I think I can improve on them.

Imagine if you will, a young man who is possessed, and must build the Tamiya 251/1 so many times that he knows where every part goes and can't stop building them.............. Thanks for your time.

I am to have built different variations of the same vehicle. I don't think I can claim to have built the exact same kit twice. My examples are:

Tamiya Bradley's- M2, M2 ODS in progress/M3 completed

Tamiya M1A1-Built one with a mine plow. One without a mine plow is in progress for a friend.

Tamiya M151 JEEP-Built one with an M60 MG and have one in progress with the TOW system.

Tamiya M113's-Plain jane M113, ACAV variant, the old Fire Support variant and the mortar carrier.

I will be continuing with my madness now that Tamiya is cranking out Hummers. I have the Bushmaster variant and the M1025 variant on the shelf and I will be buying the TOW variant. I also have the "Avenger" variant on the shelf.

I could go on but I guess I will stop for now. I enjoy my madness though. I guess that is what is important.

My last 5 kits were all M113's. Working on my 3rd T55. Going to be building a few Challengers soon.
