he guys,
I have a friend who's a teacher and wants to start a project about the Vietnam war.
She want's to know more about the politics behind it, how did it start, who where the politicians that kind of stuff,
So if some one knows some good site's with this kind of information please let me know.

There is so much information on the Internet about this subject that you shouldn't have any trouble finding what you need. Best thing to do is to Google the Net for causes of Vietnam war or something like that.

Hi Janwillem,tell your friend to invest in a good book on the subject,the best one i have come across is called,Vietnam,A History by Stanly Kernow.

A good DVD is Fog of War, it has some fairly good background info on the Vietnam.

ditto on Arthur's book reference. I read it many years ago. I think that PBS or the History Channel did a video series based on the book too.

Simply the best book I have read on the subject and the effects on American society is "Stolen Valor" by BG Burkette. Marvelous book that explains the differences between heroes, cowards and the misguided.
Great book.

just google search it, i had to do a vietnam war project and there is A LOT of info on it online, the politics involved were pretty complicated. i dont know how deep you wanna go into (or how deep your teach wants to go into it) but you could try and find how far the rabbit hole goes if you want........

This is a teacher and she doesn't know how to Google?

Besides, I'd start at the library first and somewhere down the line consider the Internet. I'd never use an Internet site for teaching without first fact-checking it.

Maybe an Amazon book search would be a start.
