No connection to our Uncle Jim.
But in the late 70's BBC ran a couple of series of a comedy play thing about life in UK just after the war or early 50's.
The characters were all builders.
One of the actors was Norman Rossington.
Can anyone remember it and is the title above correct?

Thanks
Cheers
Peter

What's the name of the comedy that takes place in France prior to the invasion. I've seen it a couple times on Public TV

Hi Steve,

I think its "Hallo, Hallo".
It was a skit (Lampoon) of a serious BBC wartime Drama called The Secret Army. About the resistance movement centred around a French Cafe before D Day.
The scenario was very similar but one was serious and the other ...well...All sort of Madonna with the big boobies"

Cheers
